San Clemente Apartment Building Sold

A 250-unit apartment building in San Clemente has been purchased by a Dallas-based pension fund advisor, Beneke-Krieg, for $27.2 million. The complex, called the Whispering Winds Apartments, was sold by Whispering Winds Apartments Inc. of Chicago, according to Ray Eldridge and Joe Leon of CB Richard Ellis Inc. in Newport Beach, who represented both buyer and seller in the deal. Built in 1986, the property will be upgraded and marketed with other high-priced units in burgeoning South County, the agents said.
