A letter writer (June 29) asks why you can talk about oral sex in the classroom but not about God. For his information, I’ve been a teacher for almost 50 years and I’ve never talked about oral sex in the classroom and in my literature classes I have talked about God beliefs in different cultures. However, as a teacher and not a preacher, it is not my job to teach a particular faith. Our forefathers and mothers came to this land to escape state-imposed religion. Let’s remember that.
