Veterans Memorial a Better Use of Land

* As a veteran in Dana Point, I was happy to see the Jan. 15 story about plans for a veterans memorial on the Headlands.
I’ve seen the Headlands over the years turn into the private dog-walking area for nearby residents that it is today. Surely a place where we can honor our veterans and remember our comrades who did not return to Dana Point would be a better use than the present canine preserve.
