SHOW GOES ON

Robert Patrick Benedict, who portrays Damis in South Coast Repertory’s “Tartuffe,” joined Carole McMahan Johnson at a reception after the show’s premiere Friday. Johnson chairs Club 35, a group of supporters who were honorary producers of the show, along with the William J. Gillespie Foundation. Also attending the party were Henry and Stacey Nicholas, who donated $1.27 million to the Costa Mesa theater, which is celebrating its 35th season.
