City officials met with Rep. Ron Packard (R-Vista) last week to discuss a $3.7-million bridge project, which connects Camino Capistrano and Cabot Road, and the expansion of Avery Parkway from four to five lanes. Officials said the proposed projects would improve traffic flow.

Packard is responsible for helping the city get federal funding of more than $1 million for the bridge. City officials asked Packard to help seek other ways of raising money to offset the cost of other improvements.
