Tickets are on sale now for the Friends of Placentia Library’s Author’s Luncheon, March 6 at the Alta Vista Country Club. T. Jefferson Parker--local award-winning author of “Laguna Heart,” “Little Saigon” and “Where Serpents Lie,” among many other books set in Orange County--will be the keynote speaker at the largest fund-raising event of the year, library director Elizabeth Minter said. Local celebrity waiters will serve patrons and all tips and proceeds will benefit the library’s book budget.
The fourth annual fund-raiser is one of the more popular and successful events, Minter said. On average, the Author’s Luncheon raises $6,000 to $8,000, which is used to purchase new books. Tickets are $30. Information: (714) 528-1906.
