Glendale Man Gets Year in Jail in Molestation Case
A Glendale man accused of molesting his roommate’s 9-year-old daughter was sentenced Tuesday to one year in County Jail by a judge who also ordered the man to obtain psychological counseling and register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
Gumercindo Ramirez, 22, had pleaded no contest Dec. 17 to one felony count of committing a lewd act on a child, said Victoria Pipkin, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office.
Pasadena Superior Court Judge Victor H. Person also ordered Ramirez to stay away from the victim when he is released and prohibited him from being alone with any child without adult supervision.
