Residents can help make Lake Forest more of a forest by sponsoring trees in public parks or other city-maintained open space areas. For $75, residents can choose to have planted a queen palm, lemon-scented gum, floss silk tree, Canary Island pine or California sycamore. The most recent tree sponsors are Sandra Buck, Jan Burton, Elizabeth Deni, and Derek and Kathy Kiker. Information: (949) 461-3400.
