Clinton a Nobel Peace Nominee

President Clinton, U.S. peace envoy Richard Holbrooke, U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan and Pope John Paul II are among 118 nominees for this year’s Nobel Peace Prize. Awards committee secretary Geir Lundestad said in Oslo that the number of nominations could increase but will probably fall short of the record 139 candidates last year. The Nobel prizes are announced in October.
