The Orange County Sheriff’s Department recently unveiled its $138,000 Tactical Support Armored Rescue Van at its headquarters in Santa Ana. The black 1998 Ford E350 is bulletproof and can be used as a SWAT vehicle to rescue victims in hostage-type crises. The Sheriff’s Advisory Council donated the van to the department.
