The City Council during a study session today will examine the budget in its midyear review. The director of finance and the city manager will recommend some changes. For the city’s general fund reserves, the two will recommend, among other things, designating $1 million in reserves for civic center construction and increasing workers’ compensation rates by 10%. The study session begins at 5 p.m. at 6650 Beach Blvd. in Building No. 2.
