Experian Signs On With Polish Banks
Credit information marketing giant Experian (which would rather be known as “the global information solutions company,” according to its public relations staff) says it has signed an agreement with a consortium of Polish banks to build that nation’s first consumer credit reference bureau.
The credit bureau will be managed by the consortium, called BIK (for Biuro Informacj Kredytowej), which already has developed a database of credit and financial information on the customers of its 21 bank members. Orange-based Experian will provide software and credit bureau management expertise.
Information initially will be shared among the BIK members, but the credit data will be marketed to other lenders starting next year.
