Estancia Shuts Out University

Cesar Terrones scored two goals to help Estancia defeat first-place University, 3-0, in a Pacific Coast League boys’ soccer game Monday at Estancia.
The victory helped the Eagles (10-6-4, 5-4 in league) keep their playoff hopes alive.
University is 12-6-4, 5-2-2.

Aliso Niguel 1, Laguna Hills 0--In the 75th minute, Thomas Corwin knocked in a rebound of a shot by Brockton Schermerhorn for host Aliso Niguel (8-8-4, 4-4-1). Laguna Hills is 13-7-6, 4-2-3.
Laguna Beach 1, Costa Mesa 0--Tommy Neptune scored his ninth goal in league for visiting Laguna Beach (10-8-2, 5-3-1).
In the Academy League:
Fairmont 5, Southern California Christian 2--Stephen Park had two goals and two assists for visiting Fairmont (3-7-2, 3-4-1).
In the Orange League:
Brea Olinda 6, Western 0--Josh Alexander and Trevor Bermudez each scored twice as the host Wildcats (18-4, 7-2) clinched the league title.
Valencia 1, Anaheim 1--Dan Young scored the tying goal in the 65th minute off Chris Bonkoski’s assist for visiting Valencia (4-9-6, 1-3-5). Max Monroy scored in the 45th minute for Anaheim (4-8-6, 2-3-4).
In the South Coast League:
Mater Dei 2, Mission Viejo 1--Victor Maridakis scored a first-half goal off Kevin Novak’s assist and Matt Fennell scored in the second half to give host Mater Dei (11-7-6, 3-2-3) a 2-0 lead.
In the Sunset League:
No. 7 Huntington Beach 2, Marina 0--Drew McAthy scored on a free kick in the 52nd minute and Dan Espinoza added another goal 10 minutes later for host Huntington Beach (14-6-2, 7-1), which posted its 11th shutout.
In Garden Grove League girls’ soccer:
Pacifica 6, Garden Grove 0--Diana DeAugustine had three goals and an assist for host Pacifica (21-1-4, 11-0), which clinched its fifth consecutive league title.
In Olympic League girls’ basketball:
Orange Lutheran 53, Whittier Christian 24--Nicole Grady scored 12 points for visiting Orange Lutheran (13-10, 7-4).
In the South Coast League:
No. 5 Mater Dei 58, Mission Viejo 27--Lindsay Pavlik scored 14 points for Mater Dei (17-5, 7-1).
In nonleague girls’ water polo:
Cypress 11, Tustin 0--Goalkeeper Anna Miner made three saves to post the shutout for visiting Cypress (20-4).
El Dorado 7, Santa Margarita 5--Karly Tivenan and Riana Brown each scored three goals for host El Dorado (12-11).
