Oak Hill Academy of Virginia has won seven mythical boys’ basketball national championships in 12 years.

Oak Hill (25-0), ranked No. 1 in the nation by USA Today, can take a major step toward clinching another title if it can get by ninth-ranked Compton Dominguez (21-2) tonight in the featured game of the eight-game Nike Extravaganza at Cal State Fullerton.

Tip-off is scheduled for 9 p.m.

Oak Hill, a 120-year-old Baptist boarding school in the Blue Ridge Mountains, draws players from throughout the United States. NBA players Jerry Stackhouse, Ron Mercer and Rod Strickland are among more than 70 former Oak Hill players who have earned Division I scholarships under Coach Steve Smith.

Dominguez is led by senior guards Marcus Moore and Keith Kincaide, and 7-1 sophomore center Tyson Chandler.
