Lavin Undecided on Lineup
The move into the opening lineup was unexpected and might be short-lived.
Matt Barnes got the promotion Sunday at Washington only because Ray Young, the likely candidate to replace JaRon Rush at small forward, was late for the team breakfast and then the bus to Hec Edmundson Pavilion.
Whether Barnes, who had four rebounds and two points in a foul-plagued 12 minutes against the Huskies, remains a starter when Oregon comes to Pauley Pavilion on Thursday night is another matter.
Coach Steve Lavin said he will wait until at least after today’s practice, and maybe through to Thursday, before deciding whether to go with Barnes, Young or even go back to Rush.

Athletic Director Pete Dalis had a meeting with Lavin on Monday--as they try to do every week during the season--but said he did not come down hard on Lavin for the actions the day before at Washington.
“No, not at all,” Dalis said. “We had a great session. A very, very good session.”
Coming up: Thursday versus Oregon, Sunday versus Oregon State.
