FULLERTON
Longtime community benefactor Paul Codispoti died Monday. He was 49. Known as “Paul the Pizza Man,” Codispoti ran Giovanni’s, the well-known pizza parlor on Williamson Avenue. He was always donating time, money and lots of pizza to the community. The residents returned the kindness when he was found to have cancer two years ago and had no health insurance. They raised more than $10,000 to help with medical bills.
Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, with a vigil at 7 p.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 400 W. Commonwealth Ave. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church.
