What Did You Eat for Dinner Last Night?
Sandra Tsing Loh, author of “Depth Takes a Holiday” and KCRW radio commentator (“The Loh Life,” Tuesdays at 7 p.m.)
“It’s really embarrassing. I’ve been married for 10 years and my husband does all the cooking. He bakes bread and everything. He won’t even let me slice a tomato.
“So he’s wrecked me in the kitchen; my cooking muscle has atrophied and fallen off. And he’s been gone for a week to Costa Rica. So I had toasted rye bread with Dijon mustard on it and Danola ham and melted Jarlsberg cheese. And then half a fish burrito from Sharkey’s Mexican Grill and some cottage cheese.
“That’s what I eat when I’m single: fast food with cottage cheese. Tuna or Zankou chicken with Dijon and mayonnaise--or hot sauce, the other major food group. And always cottage cheese.”
