Eldorado Bancshares to Trade Under Nasdaq
Eldorado Bancshares Inc., the Laguna Hills bank holding company, said its shares have been approved for listing on the Nasdaq National Market and will trade under the ticker symbol ELBI.
The company also said it still plans to sell about $30 million worth of stock in a public offering, but officials didn’t say when the offering would be made.
Eldorado postponed plans for a sale of stock in August after the market for new issues went into a tailspin. Also on Monday, the company reported that 1998 profits rose 58% to $4.6 million, or 32 cents a share, from $2.9 million, or 26 cents a share. Assets rose to $1.1 billion, from $902 million in 1997.
