* Kaiser Permanente has named Jeffrey Weisz associate medical director of Kaiser’s Woodland Hills Medical Center. Weisz had served as physician-in-charge of oncology at the Woodland Hills facility since 1986. He earned his medical degree from Wayne State University in Detroit in 1972.
Kaiser Permanente is a prepaid health maintenance organization with more than 5 million members in California. The Woodland Hills Medical Center and offices in Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks serve more than 161,000 west San Fernando Valley and Ventura County residents.

* Panasonic Broadcast & Digital Systems Co. has appointed Stuart English as vice president of marketing.
English comes to the company from Scitex Digital Video of Redwood City, where he was director of worldwide marketing. He holds a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Reading, England.
The Universal City firm markets Panasonic’s broadcast and professional video and audio systems and products. It is a unit of Panasonic Broadcast & Television Systems Co., a division of Matsushita Electric Corp. of America.
