Capistrano Valley Loses in Title Game
Center Emily Ashbaugh scored 15 points to lead Redmond (Wash.) High to a 57-38 victory over Capistrano Valley in the championship game of the Marina girls’ basketball tournament Thursday night.
The 6-foot-4 Ashbaugh was named the tournament’s most valuable player.
All-tournament selections Lindsay Peloza and Nicki Howard scored 16 and 13 points, respectively, for Capistrano Valley.
