LOYOLA MARYMOUNT (1-8) at SAN DIEGO STATE (3-6), 7 p.m., KXLU (88.9 FM)--In the midst of an eight-game losing streak, the Lions reached a new low point this week when they were last in Division I in the Sagarin power ratings, No. 319. Tonight they face an Aztec team that is also desperate for a victory, losing three of its last four. A loss for the Lions gives them their longest losing streak in one season since 1993-94. Their 24.1-point average margin of defeat is the worst of any losing streak in school history.
