Round-Trip Cruises From Mexico Resorts

Florida-based Premier Cruise Lines this month began operating round-trip cruises from two Mexican resort towns, with optional land-sea packages--unique in the market because the ships do not originate in U.S. ports, it says.
Premier’s Triton ship makes three-night cruises from Cancun, with calls on Cozumel and Progreso; a four-night itinerary calls on Belize City and the Honduran island of Roatan. Fares begin at $399 per person, double occupancy; seven-night cruise-hotel packages start at $799. The SeaWind Crown sails from Puerto Vallarta north to Cabo San Lucas (three nights) and south to Acapulco (four nights). Fares begin at $399; seven-night cruise-hotel packages start at $799.
Next year, Premier also plans to expand its family-oriented Big Red Boat program from one ship to four, entering the Los Angeles market for the first time next November. The Rembrandt will sail to Catalina, San Diego and Ensenada. Tel. (800) 990-7770.
