Los Altos 16, Santa Fe 8--The Conquerors took a 16-0 lead en route to the Division VII victory at Pioneer.
Los Altos took the opening drive and went 83 yards in 11 plays with Joey Gonzalez scoring on a five-yard run for a 7-0 lead.
The Conquerors added a safety in the second quarter when Shaun Cody and Joel Gonzalez sacked Ken Mergil in the end zone.
Los Altos scored its final touchdown on a 28-yard pass from Felipe Aguilar to Ramon Martinez.
Brea Olinda 34, Western 24--Kenny Washington rushed for 280 yards and three touchdowns in 28 carries and also caught a touchdown pass to lead Brea to the Division IX victory at Western.
St. Bonaventure 44, Banning 20--Sophomore Lorenzo Booker rushed for 186 yards and three touchdowns in 19 carries to lead the Seraphs in a Division XI victory at Ventura.
Booker scored on runs of 47, 42 and 37 yards for the second-seeded Seraphs (13-0).
The victory concluded an emotional week for the Seraphs, who lost what Coach Jon Mack called a “team friend†when Richard Gutierrez died Monday of heart failure. Gutierrez, 30, was the brother of St. Bonaventure offensive coordinator Tim Gutierrez.
Simi Valley Grace Brethren 32, Faith Baptist 26--Grace Brethren scored twice in the final four minutes to win their first Eight-Man Large Division championship at Grace Brethren.
The top-seeded Lancers (12-0) scored the winning points--and took their first lead--when Robert Serra threw an eight-yard touchdown pass to John Durso with 46 seconds left.
