Gunman Sought in Killing at Pool Hall
PARAMOUNT — Sheriff’s deputies on Monday were searching for a man who shot another man to death Sunday at a pool hall.
Late Monday, a coroner’s official identified the victim. Rafael Carcandelario, 20, of Paramount was shot several times at Pizza and Pool on Rosecrans Avenue about 7 p.m. Sunday, and was pronounced dead shortly afterward at St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood, a deputy said. It was not immediately known if any words were exchanged before the shooting.
Authorities were investigating possible motives, the official added.
The suspect, who drove away, was described as a Latino man in his 20s or 30s, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall with short hair or a shaved head.
