SANTA ANA
The City Council is expected to consider voting on a plan that would prohibit skateboarders from riding in the Civic Center, Sasscer Park, Centennial Regional Park, Rosita Park, Portola Park, Cabrillo Park and the business district. City officials say too many people have been skateboarding in these areas, and they could be a danger to pedestrians and damage property. City officials also will talk about the city’s emergency preparedness plan. The meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Monday. Information: (714) 647-5238.
