TEHACHAPI--Celebrate this town’s 90th birthday at the Mountain Festival next Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 14-15. Festivities on Saturday include a pancake breakfast at 6:30 a.m. ($4 adults, $3 ages 12 and under), a parade at 10 a.m. and the Jimmy Dean Country Showdown, featuring Rick Trevino, at 8 p.m. ($12). A rodeo takes place at 4 p.m. each day at the rodeo grounds ($12 adults, $10 ages 11 and under), while arts and crafts and a fine arts show fill City Park both days, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Free City Park admission. LOWER LAKE--Turn-of-the-century living history demonstrations and blackberry foods are key ingredients of the Blackberry Festival next weekend, Aug. 14-15.
