A 15-year-old Capistrano Valley High School student was arrested Tuesday after admitting to making a false bomb threat, according to the Sheriff’s Department. The student, whose name was not released because of his age, planted a note that warned of an explosive device somewhere on campus, Sheriff’s Lt. Kim Markuson said. He was released to his parents. The note was found on a desk by school officials. Sheriff’s deputies interviewed several students, and the suspect admitted making the false threat, Markuson said. The city has requested charges be filed by the district attorney’s office. School District Supt. James A. Fleming said the boy would be expelled.
