LAKE FOREST

The city is accepting applications for the Sheriff’s Team of Active Retired Seniors. Participants must be at least 55 and be willing to volunteer four hours a week. Applicants will be given a background check and, if accepted into the program, given 40 hours of training and a uniform. Participants will perform a number of services, including vacation checks, making telephone calls or personal visits to homebound residents, clerical support and daytime patrols of city parks.
