A 21-year-old Santa Paula man was shot in the neck and his vehicle vandalized, authorities said Sunday.
Jose Manuel Martinez was treated at Santa Paula Memorial Hospital for a wound to the left side of his neck and released.
The shooting occurred about 5 p.m. Saturday at 12th Street and Harvard Boulevard, said Santa Paula Police Sgt. Henry Aguilar.
Officers found Martinez near his vehicle, which had its windows broken out, Aguilar said.
Martinez and other witnesses have been reluctant to talk about what happened, Aguilar said. There had been no arrests as of Sunday afternoon.
