LA PALMA
The City Council on Tuesday will consider a proposed senior housing complex; it is one of the most anticipated projects to come before the city in years. The project is planned for two vacant parcels, at 7051 and 7061 Walker St., that the city bought about five years ago. The 60-unit facility would include a swimming pool, 18 two-bedroom units and 42 one-bedroom units, and a community center with activities open to all La Palma seniors, city planner Joan Hoesterey said. The council will meet at 7:30 p.m. in chambers, 7832 Walker St. Information: (714) 523-7700.
