Franklin 32, Grant 10--Despite Duriel Carter’s 97 yards in 15 carries, Grant (1-1) fell behind early and Franklin won its first night game on its campus.
Franklin scored in the first quarter on Alex Rosa’s 27-yard interception return and extended the lead to 12-0 at halftime on a 25-yard pass from Daniel Gonzalez to Edwin Carrillo.
Grant scored on a 36-yard field goal by Jesus Perez in the third quarter set up by Carter’s 57-yard run. The Lancers also scored on an 85-yard kick return by Tevita Manu in the fourth.
Angel Gonzalez of Franklin (2-0) returned a kick 92 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter and caught a 14-yard scoring pass in the fourth. Gonzalez had five receptions for 91 yards.
