Crash Victim’s Name Released

A pedestrian killed last week in a traffic accident was identified Monday by police as Gregorio Jimenez, 76, of Garden Grove.
Jimenez was hit Friday evening by a van near Westminster Avenue and Clinton Street. He was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he died Saturday. The van also struck a second pedestrian, who was critically injured.
Police said Jimenez and the other victim may have attempted to run across the street.
Traffic investigators did not release the name of the driver, who stopped after the accident, or the other victim.
