Stats Incredible
* Deon and De’Andre Scott have been double trouble for Alemany High opponents.
Deon, a senior, has nine receptions for 346 yards, a 38.4-yards-per-catch average.
De’Andre, a sophomore, is averaging a first down every time he carries the ball. He has rushed 55 times for 609 yards, a 11.1 average.
* Keary Colbert, a Hueneme wide receiver, outdistances even Deon Scott. Colbert is averaging 44.6 yards per reception.
His performance against Muir last Friday was rather routine--three catches for 134 yards and three touchdowns. Colbert, a junior, has only 11 receptions--but seven for touchdowns.
* Speaking of Hueneme, the Vikings are engineers of one of the season’s biggest turnarounds. After losing to Alemany, 42-21, in their opener, the Vikings have won four in a row--by a combined score of 178-42.
* The Village Christian defense doesn’t spread the big plays around. Ethan Forward and Jason Stauffer have combined for 12 interceptions--six each.
* Kyle Cremarosa of Burroughs has four interceptions. He’s returned three for touchdowns covering 44 yards or more.
* You couldn’t say Littlerock and Thousand Oaks were two-man teams. But you almost could.
Littlerock juniors Rodney Woods and Keith Williams have combined for 1,093 of the Lobos’ 1,148 rushing yards and scored 12 of the team’s 14 touchdowns.
Woods has 567 yards and nine touchdowns, Williams 526 yards and three touchdowns. They also have accounted for all three of the interceptions by Littlerock’s defense.
* For Thousand Oaks, running backs Wes Cobos and Joey Casillas have scored 13 of the Lancers’ 14 touchdowns, have 1,055 of the team’s 1,174 rushing yards and 26 of the team’s 41 receptions.
* Buena’s Steve Howard and Taft’s Richard Ploesch are the next-best thing to automatic. Both kickers are perfect on point-after conversions. Howard is 19 of 19 and Ploesch is 17 of 17.
