Inmate Found Dead in Jail’s Medical Area
An inmate being held on suspicion of robbery was found dead in the jail medical isolation area, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said.
The inmate, a 32-year-old man from Pasadena, was found Sunday evening by a deputy. The cause of death has not been determined, said Cindy Beavers, a sheriff’s spokeswoman.
The inmate was arrested Oct. 2 for investigation of robbery and was being held at the West Valley Detention Center.
The coroner’s office was scheduled to conduct an autopsy, Beavers said.
The inmate’s name was not released.
