Corona Named CEO of Tandberg Data Inc.

Tandberg Data ASA of Simi Valley, a manufacturer of tape drives and libraries, has named Fernando N. Corona president and chief executive officer of Tandberg Data Inc.

Corona joined Tandberg Data in April. He has held various sales, marketing and executive management positions over the last 20 years. Most recently, he was vice president of marketing at Allied Telesyn International.

“Tandberg Data Inc. is poised to dramatically grow its position in the backup-storage business,” Corona said. “Our recent joint announcement with Quantum regarding the manufacturing and licensing of their DLT tape products adds a new dimension to our core business, providing us with one of the strongest product lines in the industry.”

Tandberg Data Inc. is a subsidiary of Tandberg Data ASA, based in Oslo.
