Lucent Will Market ACT Networks Items
ACT Networks in Camarillo has reached a manufacturing agreement with Lucent Technologies, under which Lucent will market certain items in ACT’s NetPerformer Multi-Service Access product line under the Lucent brand.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
The ACT NetPerformer line is designed to allow businesses to implement integrated voice and data networking services.
“The agreement between ACT and Lucent provides strong strategic benefits for both companies,” said Andre deFusco, ACT president and chief executive officer. “Lucent’s leadership in key communications markets, combined with ACT’s expertise in voice, fax and data integration over frame relay, will provide customers powerful solutions for merging voice and data networks.”
Lucent Technologies, headquartered in Murray Hill, N.J., designs, builds and delivers public and private networks, communications systems and software, data networking systems, business telephone systems and microelectronics components. Bell Labs is the research and development arm of the company.
