Witness IDs Suspect in Slaying of Girl
A witness identified a man charged in three attacks on young girls as being with 11-year-old Ryan Harris on the day she was slain, an attorney said. The 15-year-old witness picked out Floyd Durr’s photo from a police lineup Friday, said attorney R. Eugene Pincham, who represents one of two boys, ages 7 and 8, originally charged with killing Ryan. Ryan’s body was found July 28 in a vacant lot on Chicago’s South Side. County prosecutors dropped charges against the two boys Sept. 4 after semen was discovered on the girl’s underwear. Experts said it was unlikely that boys so young could produce semen. Durr, 29, has not been charged in Ryan’s death.
