Charles Leroy Fuller; Senior Microwave Engineer

Longtime Thousand Oaks resident Charles Leroy Fuller died Friday after a short illness. He was 66.

Born in the Philippines on May 13, 1932, Fuller was a retired senior antenna/microwave engineer. He moved to Thousand Oaks in 1968.

Following in his father’s footsteps, Fuller joined the military, where he earned the rank of captain in the Army.

Family members say Fuller loved camping, boating, fishing and computers.

“He was a loving, supporting father,” said his daughter, Charlene, also of Thousand Oaks. “He raised us all single-handedly.”

Fuller, who was divorced, is survived by his daughters Debbie Ayala and Charlene Fuller of Thousand Oaks, Susan Fuller-Marble and Kathy Fuller-Tooch of La Crescenta, Karen Buenick of Santa Barbara and Pam Fuller of Los Osos, and stepdaughter Joanne Scott of Simi Valley.

Services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Forest Lawn in Glendale.
