General Automation Picks Cacciamatta for Audit
General Automation Inc. named its third outside auditor in less than two years, tapping Cacciamatta Accountancy Corp. of Irvine. The move came after the company announced last week that McGladrey & Pullen LLP had refused to continue working as accountant for the Irvine provider of software support services. McGladrey & Pullen withdrew and restated its 1997 financial reports for General Automation. Another auditor, Price Waterhouse, also withdrew and restated its reports for 1995 and 1996. The restated reports showed much higher losses.
