Silverado Canyon Development
* Some residents of Silverado Canyon believe in “sensible development” (Letters, Sept. 27).
You know that kind. It fills the coffers of its proponents but generally spells disaster for anyone or anything else.
This phrase is akin to “sensible clear-cutting.” When are people going to look beyond their own needs and realize that the open space and “undeveloped” land is a scarce resource, one that should be protected and respected for us and future generations to enjoy?
Is it necessary to raze every corner of Orange County to derive some personal gain?
