IT’S GREEK TO THEM
Anent Justin Davidson’s lead sentence in “The World on Their Strings” (Oct. 4): “The Kronos Quartet is named for the Greek god of time.”
This is not the place for an extended lecture on the subject, but either Davidson or the quartet might want to bone up a tad on their Greek mythology re the distinction between Kronos [a Titan] and Chronos [an Olympian]. In order to have Time on their hands, they should have selected Chronos.
