In nonleague games:
Oak Park 23, Kilpatrick 14--Eric Daley caught fourth-quarter touchdown passes of 48 and 49 yards from Nate Elder, and the Eagles finally pulled away from the Mustangs (1-4) at Oak Park.
Kilpatrick led, 8-7, on Kevin White’s eight-yard touchdown run midway through the third quarter, but Daley’s first scoring catch put the Eagles back on top, 14-8.
White scored again on a five-yard run to put the Mustangs ahead with 8:18 remaining, but Elder hooked up with Daley on the second scoring pass play to put Oak Park (3-2) ahead for good with 6:11 left.
White rushed for 174 yards in 23 carries and Albert Youngblood added 87 yards in 11 carries.
Elder completed seven of 18 for 143 yards.
