In nonleague games:
Nordhoff 17, Bishop Diego 0--Running back Joey Briglio rushed for 46 of his 128 yards in a 13-play, seven-minute fourth quarter drive that led to Isi Guzman’s 26-yard touchdown that capped the scoring at Nordhoff.
Nordhoff (2-3) took a 10-0 lead on Matt Brown’s 47-yard field goal midway through the second quarter and a three-yard touchdown run by quarterback Brandon Titus with 35 seconds to play in the first half. Titus completed six of 11 passes for 63 yards.
Bishop Diego (1-4) gained 204 yards but Nordhoff’s Jesse Hawkins intercepted two passes and Scott Drew intercepted one.
Camarillo 24, Saugus 13--Garrett Valencia completed 19 of 32 passes for 292 yards and one touchdown and the Scorpions won their third consecutive game at College of the Canyons.
Valencia also scored a touchdown on a one-yard run.
Camarillo (3-2) opened a 14-7 halftime lead, with Brent Rose breaking a 7-7 deadlock on a four-yard touchdown run.
Sean Stoddard of Saugus (1-4) rushed for 167 yards in 24 carries and scored two touchdowns, including an early score in the third quarter to cut the Centurions’ deficit to 14-13.
The Centurions trailed, 21-13, with 7:30 left and were driving toward a possible game-tying touchdown when on fourth and four from the Camarillo 17, Stoddard was stopped well short on a run up the middle.
Seven players caught passes from Valencia, led by Gary Bryce, who had six receptions for 81 yards.
