Crespi 13, St. Bernard 6--The Celts (5-0) remained undefeated when Matt Dooley recovered a fumble by St. Bernard’s Jamie Brooks at the Crespi 17-yard line with 41 seconds to play at Crespi.
Crespi’s Blake Tibbetts rushed 23 times for 135 yards, including a 15-yard touchdown midway through the third quarter. Tibbetts’ run capped a seven-play, 40-yard drive in which he carried six times for 39 yards.
Crespi took a 7-0 lead late in the first quarter on a five-yard run by Ken Turner. St. Bernard (3-2) cut the lead to 7-6 on a 24-yard run by Jeff Brown less than four minutes later.
Brown rushed for 89 yards in 11 carries. Brooks completed 12 of 25 passes for 105 yards and rushed for 33 yards in seven carries.
