L.A. Baptist 9, Santa Paula 7--Garret Ellis caught four passes for 116 yards, including a 79-yard scoring play in the second quarter from quarterback Scott Swenson, to lead host L.A. Baptist (4-1) in a defensive struggle at Alemany High.
Swenson passed for 177 yards, completing six of 12. L.A. Baptist started the scoring on a 24-yard field goal by Daniel Neciosup-Acuna early in the second quarter.
