Chaminade 36, Temple City 20--Lee Grassini rushed for 240 yards and three touchdowns, including an 85-yard run in the third quarter, to give the Eagles the lead for good at Chaminade.
Chaminade (3-2) overcame a 14-0 second-quarter deficit. Nick Lawson returned a kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown and Grassini ran for a two-point conversion to cut Temple City’s lead to 14-8.
The Eagles took a 15-14 lead in the third quarter on a one-yard run by Grassini. Temple City (2-3) answered with a 90-yard kickoff return by Greg Flammang.
Grassini’s 85-yard touchdown run gave Chaminade a 22-20 lead. Grassini added a one-yard touchdown run with 7:26 to play.
