Van Nuys 43, Monroe 36--Van Nuys’ Bobby Hernandez completed 11 of 25 passes for 274 yards and three touchdowns at Monroe.
Hernandez had scoring passes of 13, 45 and seven yards. Wide receiver Germaime Lucious caught five passes for 114 yards and two touchdowns.
David Flores, a third-string quarterback for Monroe, completed three of nine passes for 85 yards and two touchdowns. Andrew Newchurch rushed for 139 yards and two touchdowns in 15 carries.
