Arizona Looking for Some Night Magic
The first Pac-10 showdown between top-10 teams in seven years would have been moved to a 12:30 p.m. start had ABC not opted to show Notre Dame-Arizona State instead.
Arizona Athletic Director Jim Livengood, while still a bit annoyed at the way ABC made its decision, said it might be better that the game be played under the lights in front of a national cable audience.
“I think it’s going to be a magical, just magical, atmosphere here tomorrow night,” Livengood said Friday. “Nighttime maybe tends to bring out some of that mystic in the air.”
It was under similar nocturnal circumstances that Arizona State stunned Nebraska two years ago en route to an 11-1 record.
