Teenager Stabbed by Gang Member
A Simi Valley teenager was in critical condition Friday after a rival gang member stabbed him in the back several times during a fistfight, police said.
Police said the 17-year-old victim, a member of a Simi Valley gang, was fighting with an unidentified member of a rival gang just before 10 p.m. Thursday in a wash area north of Rancho Simi Park when he was stabbed in the back, police said.
The teenager was able to break away and run toward the parking lot of the Simi Valley Hospital Behavioral Medicine Services on Heywood Street, where employees found the boy and called 911. The teen was rushed to Simi Valley Hospital, where he is listed in critical but stable condition.
The suspects were last seen running south through Rancho Simi Park.
