Testimony of 6 Accusers OKd in Molestation Case

Prosecutors will be able to present witnesses who say they were victims of a Pasadena high school track coach facing a trial on charges of molesting two teenagers, a judge ruled Friday.
Pasadena Municipal Judge Mary Thornton House ruled that although former Muir High School coach Clyde Turner was never charged with molesting the witnesses, they can testify against him under a state law enacted three years ago.
House ruled on the motion by Deputy Dist. Atty. Amy Suehiro to allow six people who allege they were sexually abused by Turner to testify under the law, which allows evidence of past sex crimes.
Turner has plead not guilty to three felony charges and one misdemeanor molestation charge involving two boys. He is free on $100,000 bail.
